Our Impact and Evaluation
Qualitative measures of the range and depth of Berni & Murcer - Friends for LifeTM mission impact supports continuous innovation, program quality, and the positive emotional and physical development of children and their families, potentially leading to better health outcomes. Medical/healthcare professionals, children, and families will participate in a series of surveys to provide these measurements of program impact. To date, the immediate reaction by both children and families to the Berni & Murcer - Friends for LifeTM "Comfort Backback" program has been endless smiles, joy, laughter, encouragement, engagement and comfort.

As we begin a sparkling 2020 New Year, all of us at Berni & Murcer - Friends for Life are reflecting upon the extraordinary year of blessings we’ve received from all of our generous supporters, talented artistic and editorial teams, creative vendors, and visionary board of directors. This past year, we excitedly received the first 100 Comfort Backpacks, developed the Berni & Murcer storybook animated trailer, added the Berni chemotherapy bag cover, and expanded our board and outreach volunteers!! We are especially filled with immense gratitude for being selected as a 2019 Newman’s Own Foundation grant recipient for our “Comfort Backpack” program!!!
Because of everyone’s remarkable efforts in spreading heartfelt love, kindness and generosity towards our mission of transforming the lives of children and their families diagnosed with cancer, HOPE is HAPPENING!!! When we spread positive vibes, it creates a ripple effect that can travel a long way in every direction. This is what gives a single person the ability to make a difference in such a large world!!
